Denpasar - Commemorating the 94th Youth Pledge Day in 2022, Kodam IX/Udayana held a Flag Ceremony in the Prajaraksaka Kepaon field, Denpasar City, Bali Province, with the theme "United Build The Nation". As Ceremonial Inspector, Danrem 163/WSA Brigadier General Choirul Anam, S.E., M.M., Friday (28/10/2022).
The ceremony was marked by the raising of the Red and White Flag. Then Danrem read the mandate of the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) of the Republic Indonesia (RI), who said that the commemoration of Youth Pledge Day is our effort to present the history of the past to be contemplated, studied, found crystallization of learning goodness to serve as an example and inspiration to move steps towards the vision of a great nation.
Commemoration of Youth Pledge Day October 28, 1928 has an important meaning and teaches us how to respond to differences in primordial attitudes, ethnicity, religion, race and culture, as well as various interests to become strength, not as a weakening factor. History has explained that the choice of youth at that time had become a strong milestone towards independence.
"The role of youth in pioneering the building of a national vision with the 1928 Youth Pledge followed by a series of movements has led to the Proclamation of Indonesian Independence. The role of youth has been recorded in golden ink for all time," said Menpora RI in his mandate.
The great value of the Youth Pledge in the context of the present and the future. This is what is our determination to continue the struggle for independence to realize our ideals now and for all time. The spirit to always earnestly build an independent, sovereign, united, just and prosperous Indonesia dynamically in accordance with the context of an ever-changing strategic environment.
Next, today's youth are figures who will play a role in the future. What young people do today will also determine the progress of the Indonesian Nation in the future.
Ending his mandate, Menpora invites all elements of the nation for continue to gather strength and enthusiasm to move, motivating Indonesian youth to develop various existing potentials in order to build the glory of all time.
"Let us make this 94th Youth Pledge Day commemoration a momentum to increase our spirit together to build the nation.
